Chicken Parmesan

Last week I shopped at Sam's Club to check out some of their meal demos for quick and easy meal ideas. Shopping for item's in bulk not only saves money in the long run but saves time as well. Now that school is back in session I have busy afternoon's and evenings, my afternoon's involve picking up Emma Lee from school, making her an after school snack, homework in the evening and getting things ready for the following day. I like to look for meals that are quick, easy and delicious and if I can make less trips to the grocery store, even better. I purchased a bag of Tyson's Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Patties, Hunt's Tomato Sauce, and Daily Chef Spaghetti for my Chicken Parmesan recipe.

Everything I purchased was in bulk, it's a lot of food but they're ingredients I can use in many recipes.The kids love all three item's, together or separate. I love having plenty of these item's in the house, they make for a quick meal whenever I need to create a quick meal for the family.

Ingredients:

• 6 Tyson's Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Patties
• 1 lb. Daily Chef Spaghetti
• 1 1/2 cup Hunt's Tomato Sauce
• 3/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese 
• 6 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan Cheese

1. Prepare spaghetti and chicken patties as directed on the package. 
2. Place cooked spaghettie in a baking dish, top with 1 cup of tomato sauce, chicken patties and cheese.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes, until cheese is melted.

Optional: top with basil, Italian seasoning or other spices to help add flavor.

Quick Family Meals With Kraft Recipe Makers

Don't know what for dinner tonight? Or are you looking for something new meal to serve the family? New Kraft Recipe Makers are quick family meals you can serve up in a short amount of time. These meal kits make meal prep so easy and you the end result is a delicious meal everyone in the family will enjoy. I love using these recipe kits to help with dinner meals for my family. As you can see from all the recipe's on my blog, I don't cook much and I like to keep things quick and easy.

The other day I headed to my local Walmart to pick up a few groceries for the week and found the Kraft Recipe Makers in the pasta aisle. There were a few recipe kits and they all looked and sounded so good. I went with the Verde Chicken Enchiladas meal kit. It's been a while since we've had enchiladas and this would be my first time making them for that family at home. You can find the other items you'll need for your meal on the back of the box along with step by step instructions on prep and cooking. I paid a little over $10 for all of my ingredients and was able to serve the entire family.

Here is all I needed to make the enchiladas. The only real cooking I had to do is cook the chicken I had purchased. After that all I had to do was put it all together and into the pan. Prepping the enchiladas took me about 5 minutes from start to finish.

Enchiladas are ready to bake in the oven.

The enchiladas baked for 15 minutes in the oven and now they are ready to serve. The enchiladas were a big hit for dinner. They tasted delicious and the entire family ate them up, no leftovers with this meal. I can't wait to try out more of the Kraft Recipe Makers kits for dinner. They were quick and easy to make and a very affordable meal.

Snapple Ice Tea + Lemonade = Awesomeness

It's Summer time and with the heat outside, we're all looking for was to stay cool and comfortable when we are out enjoying Summer fun activities. We all love a cool and refreshing Summer drinks to keep our thirst quenched and Iced Tea is a popular Summer drink especially here in Texas, Texans love their Tea! Use Snapple Half and Half to make Snapple Fruitsicles!

Just blend together 1 cup of frozen Peaches and 1 Cup of frozen Strawberries and use about 1/3 of the diet Snapple half and half from the glass. Pour into Popsicle trays, freeze and served when frozen. Serves about 8 and each fruitsicle has about 15 calories, 2 grams of sugar and full of Vitamin C!

Recently, I've made some healthier lifestyle changes such as joining the gym down the street and signing up to Steps with Balance Rewards program from Walgreen's. I believe that getting a daily dose of exercise, no matter how small or big is very important for your health and wellness. Joining the Steps program was a pretty smart idea on my part for several reasons. Signing up with Steps with #BalanceRewards #Cbias was very simple. I went to Walgreens.com/steps and clicked on joined and followed the steps. I was assigned an account and reward card number. 

Once I was signed up, I went to the apple app store and downloaded the Walgreen's app onto my iPhone. Once downloaded, I was able to setup my Steps account and set my goals and start earning rewards. The app also displays your rewards card, so it can be scanned from your phone when your at the store making a purchase. Once you reach 5,000 points you can cash out for a $5 reward!

Entering in your daily activity and keeping track of your goals is so easy and it's fun to see your progress and how much you have accomplished. Getting rewarded for doing things you do everyday or reaching new goals is a great motivator.

I stopped by Walgreen's to pick up a few items to keep me energized and hydrated for the gym. I love the Nice! products Walgreen's has to offer. The come at such a great price and deals when you purchase more. I used my rewards card at checkout to help me earn more points.
